Computer-Controlled Measurements of Electrical and Mechanical Quantities
 

BB Automacao focuses on the development of computer-controlled measuring systems for the measurements of electrical, geometrical and mechanical quantities.

Computer-controlled measuring and testing technique has quickly been developed in the last 20 years with the help of microelectronics and finds increasing applications to sciences and engineering. Using this technique not only measurements and documentations can be automated, but also the reliability and measuring accuracy can be improved by self-diagnosis and digital signal processing.

A computer-controlled measuring system consists of a PC-system or notebook and an individual measuring device or several measuring instruments. The system is controlled by the PC-system through a parallel interface (IEEE488.2/GPIB) or serial interface (RS232C). With the help of a GPIB-ENET/100 adapter, measurements and data transfer can be realized by PC-systems at different working places, which are connected through an Ethernet network.

BB Automacao researchs and develops cost favourable customer orientated computer-controlled measuring and testing systems. Typical measuring systems are  

  • Measuring systems for velocity, displacement/position measurement of elevators and machines
  • Self-calibrated precise impedance measuring systems
  • Precise measuring and testing systems of the transfer function of analog circuits and systems
  • Self-corrected precise testing systems of displacement/position transducers and sensors
  • Measuring systems of electrical and mechanical oscillations
  • Self-calibrated precise measuring systems of electrical, geometric and mechanical quantities etc.
The measuring deviation is less than 0.2% for impedance and transfer function measurements. The impedance measuring systems can also used for characterization of electrical and dielectric materials under high electrical field intensity (3000V/mm).
